Rosewood Art Auction Benefits Children's Art Foundation

Hannah Jarmain founded the Children’s Art Foundation because she believes art is the vehicle to transform lives for many talented and underprivileged children of San Miguel de Allende.  To fund their art programs–offered free in economically stricken communities–she and her legion of volunteers are hosting this Sunday’s (February 9) Live Auction at the Rosewood Hotel’s ballroom.

And the program announces the auction will be hosted by “A Mystery Celebrity Couple!”

Kickstarting the event at 2:00 will be the Fun & Fab Art sales, featuring over two dozen ostrich eggs hand-painted by local children aged 11 to 13 (pictured here) who have created the most fabulous Faberge-style eggs for only 500 pesos each.  Most importantly, these young artists–like all artists participating in the auction–receive 50% of the sale proceeds, with the balance funding art programs for the foundation.

After the crowd enjoys an afternoon aperitif and hors d’oeuvres, Internationally acclaimed artist Toller Cranston introduces the auction at 2:45.  With over 70 pieces to auction, bidders can collect from several of their favorite artists.

And that celebrity couple hosting the auction bidding?  It’s none other than Your Dream Team of Greg & Ivy, “The Dream Home Specialists!” who will ensure that the audience becomes Dream Art Collectors!
