Luxury travel may wear out your frequent flyer account, but hey, somebody’s got to do it, right? In this case the luxury traveler is apparently some poor gent named Brent, who allowed guest blogger Nettie Z to post about the luxury experience here at Where’s Bent Been?
Nettie relays the pleasure of indulging in a stay at the Hotel Matilda, dining at Enrique Olvera’s restaurant Moxi–Nettie explains the word means “craving” in Otomi–and boasting on Enrique’s personal philosophy based on incorporating Mexico’s extraordinary ingredients using contemporary and ancient culinary techniques. Shown here is his Ravioli de jicama con cangrejo “lump,” serrano, cebolla, y aguachile de cilantro col braseada, which translates to lump crabmeat, sandwiched between jicama (a Mexican root vegetable, a cross between a radish and an apple) served with the juice of coriander, lime, chile, Spanish onion, and braised cabbage.
Thanks for the update, Nettie. Now I have to go eat!
